Well here goes.... 1st post on a blog about being a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes....
I could do with a magic wand most of the time but as that's not a possibility I'll just have to sit back, grizzle a bit and hope someone invents a cure or some way of making this life a bit easier.....
Not quite sure why I am starting this... perhaps so people can see what our life is like having to deal with the rubbish that goes with having type 1 especially when ur a kid and theres are so many things you have to miss out on even though the doctors say you can lead a normal life - yeah right!! or perhaps just so I can have a bloody good old moan without actually having to moan to anyone who can roll their eyes at me and tell me to get a grip....
Either way, it's here now so get ready for the highs and lows of life with a diabetic child x

hello hun, good on you for starting this: good idea and I hope you get more support from other peeps in the same boat as you. Although not the same but I can relate to you entirely with not being able to lead a normal life and letting the boys miss out on treats etc...a classic for both of ours is advent calenders its such a shame hun but we get on with it and cope somehow. take care hunnie x
